Green Efforts Continue at Stowe Mountain Lodge
After a long day on the slopes or on our hiking trails, everyone wants to freshen up with a nice, long hot shower before dinner. One of the most challenging ways to conserve water is in the shower. Within our stewardship goals and a true commitment to our green efforts, we installed low flow shower heads in all the guest rooms. Unfortunately, due to the low flow, we received many complaints of not being able to rinse soap and shampoo off, showers taking twice as long, and general lack of pressure, due to the low flow of water. This we simply could not have for our valued guests.
Mid-December marks the beginning of a new wedding season--one filled with snowy backdrops and rich centerpieces surrounded by mercury glass and candlelight.
One of my favorite weeks of the year at Stowe Mountain Lodge is the second week in December. The crisp cold air of winter, the buzz and discussion of event-filled weeks ahead and the poinsettia tree gracefully positioned in the Lobby, welcoming the bride and groom to their winter wedding venue. It’s a perfect scene for an unforgettable event.
