2014 Wedding Trends at Stowe Mountain Lodge
It's my favorite time of year at Stowe Mountain Lodge-wedding season! It's the time for love, happiness, family and celebrations. When one of our wedding couples is on property, with all of their friends and loved ones, it makes this special place that much more special. And I love seeing all of our wedding couples' hard work and creativity come to life for their friends and families. Here are some of the top wedding trends in 2014 that I am seeing at Stowe Mountain Lodge.

There is an overwhelming impression around the mountains of Vermont that the traditional “mud season” is the time of year when most of the outdoor activities we love cease to be available. The more time I spend in Vermont, the more I like to challenge this notion. During every month in Vermont, we must accept that the weather will rarely be perfect, so why is the spring any different?
After five-plus years of offering some of the best high-tech and high-touch services at The Spa at Stowe Mountain Lodge and over 30,000 guests visiting the spa, it was time to do a “facelift” to some of the beautiful spaces in the spa. To support our commitment to sustainability and our mission “To strive to be not only the best spa in the world, but for the world,” we partnered with a carpet company called Interface.
Dessert is not only something delicious to eat, but a piece of art with the elements of science mixed in to create it.
When ordering a dessert in a restaurant, many people are thoroughly satisfied and content after eating it. But what is the process that gets that dessert to the table? That’s my job at Solstice Restaurant at Stowe Mountain Lodge, to come up with the best plated dessert possible, and it’s more than just baking a cake.
