Thinking BIG in the Mountains – Meetings at Stowe Mountain Lodgephoto

The first thing that comes to mind when you think about meetings in Stowe, Vermont probably has something to do with skiing, intimate meeting space and the quintessential New England village views.  However, with 56,000 square feet of flexible meeting space nestled at the base of Mt Mansfield, large meetings are easily serviced and executed.

Among that space is the Spruce Peak Performing Arts Center at Stowe Mountain Resort delivering an immediate WOW-factor. I can’t believe this remarkable venue is just steps from Stowe Mountain Lodge and I continually look for ways to incorporate using this venue for groups.

Vermont Pastry Chefsphoto

The Stowe Mountain Lodge culinary staff take their pastries, baked goods, breads, pies and cakes very seriously. After all, we are in New England, where homemade, family baked recipes are a birthright! So it goes without saying that our pastry team has to be the best of the best in New England.

That’s why we brought together our team of three new pastry chefs who are already wowing hotel guests, brides and grooms, meetings groups and locals who have experienced this summer’s culinary delights here at Stowe Mountain Lodge. Can you say blueberry cake made with fresh blueberries right outside our door? We know, it makes our mouths water too, just thinking about it.

Meet Angela Nye, Gabrielle Hatch and Tina Brown, our new dynamic trio in the baking kitchen.

So when it came time to determine a corporate social responsibility component to the meeting, we looked at local organizations and some iconic local symbols to tie the two together.
