Hiking, biking, angling, canoeing, kayaking, golfing, swimming- all the i-n-ging you could ever imagine.
Spring and summer at Stowe Mountain Lodge bring three words to mind. Fun. Fun. Fun. Right outside your door, the beauty of your surroundings and all that it offers abound. Magnificent trails and lifts transport you to your next adventure. Fly-fishing expeditions, an 18-hole Bob Cupp championship mountain golf course, bike tours and water sports make for thrilling days. And at your leisure, you can choose to recharge at our world- class wellness center and spa.
For Vermont’s best cycling, jogging and nature walking, visit the award-winning Recreation Path, an internationally-renowned 5.5 mile greenway. Pack a picnic and take advantage of the most scenic route through town. For some serious mountain biking, Stowe is home to Cottonbrook, Vermont's first marked mountain-bike trail on state land, Old County Road, Stowe Hollow and Brownsville.
Stowe Mountain Lodge is in close proximity to the area’s most pristine streams, ponds, and lakes to fly fish for trout, bass, and pike. Allow one of our fly fishing sherpas to accompany you on your expedition, and we’ll take care of your equipment, bait, licensing and transportation.
Visit one of Stowe’s stables for horseback riding lessons, carriage and wagon rides, and trips throughout grassy meadows and scenic woods. The historic Auto Toll Road offers a driving adventure, with zigzag route up to the summit ridge of Mt. Mansfield, for breathtaking views of Lake Champlain and the Adirondack Mountains. Or throw on some hiking boots and a take a trek up the Pinnacle Trail, The Long Trail or Wiessner Woods on your own two feet.
If you’re lucky, you might run into a moose along the way.
