The Spa and Wellness Center at Stowe Mountain Lodge

Stowe, Vt. – The Spa and Wellness Center at Stowe Mountain Lodge is a shangri-la for all the senses, nestled in the natural setting of Vermont, and surrounded by spectacular views of snow-covered mountains in the winter and vibrant, lush greenery that stretches for miles in the summer.  Mastering the art of combining the ultimate luxurious experience of a world-class spa with the comfort and warmth of a dear friend’s home, The Spa at Stowe Mountain Lodge is a destination in itself.  The world-class spa, at the base of Stowe Mountain Resort, provides a sanctuary to escape the rigors and stresses of everyday life, and promises guests will leave changed and refreshed.

The Spa

The Spa focuses on the simplicity of nature to create a truly rejuvenating and holistic environment for the body, from the inside out.  Natural colors, organic textures, rich stones, rustic woods, weathered coppers and atmospheric lighting blend seamlessly with oversized picture windows and a dramatic view of the highest peak in Vermont, Mount Mansfield.

The journey of the spa begins in the “healing lodge,” a private water sanctuary integrating an herbal steam chamber, expansive Jacuzzi pool, dry sauna, natural salt scrub and cooling rain shower designed to restore the body’s natural pH balance and encourage muscles to relax.  The therapeutic properties of the various elements of the healing lodge become a treatment in themselves, and guests are invited to partake in this experience either before or after their scheduled treatments.

The vast array of services includes traditional and signature spa options which change seasonally.  The spa’s Signature Rituals are designed as personal spa retreats. These Signature Rituals offer the ultimate escape.  Each ritual begins with the skilled hands of two massage therapists (for the first 25 minutes) wrapping or scrubbing pure ingredients into your skin.  The ritual continues with a warm oil scalp treatment and peppermint foot treatment - and concludes with a full body massage. Pure Zen Sound Therapy utilizes a carbon-fiber sound chair and the natural harmonic healing resonance of music to relax the muscles, ligaments, tendons and tired body/mind while strengthening the bones and emotional bodies for ultimate performance.

The Wellness Center

For guests seeking better health, personal well-being and relaxation on a long-term basis, Stowe Mountain Lodge offers the Wellness Center, a distinctive experience designed to help guests maintain good health through nutritional counseling, physical fitness and lifestyle enhancements.  Guests can expect to find balance through meditation, nutrition, and health maintenance services that will result in a lifestyle education and true sense of wellbeing.

The Wellness Center creates tailored fitness and wellness programs for guests, including those geared towards skiers, golfers and/or individuals seeking a lifetime of good health.  A state-of-the-art fitness center featuring TechnoGym cardio and strength training equipment, offers either targeted personal sessions or energizing group classes with certified trainers.  Exercise and fitness options range from Pilates to guided mountain hikes to Zumba, a Latin-inspired dance infusion class.
