Slopeside Mountain Cabin Rentals and Launch of the Exclusive Alpine Concierge® Program Offer a Glimpse Into the Future of Stowe Mountain Lodge This Winter
Stowe, Vt. – Stowe Mountain Lodge may not be scheduled to open until April 2008, but visitors to Stowe will have an opportunity to experience the world-class services and sumptuous accommodations of Vermont’s first luxury resort to open in over 50 years beginning in April 2008. The launch of Stowe Mountain Resort’s new transfer lift linking Mt. Mansfield and Spruce Peak, and the
development of the Spruce Peak at Stowe alpine neighborhood, have introduced a new demand for a heightened level of personalized service and luxurious accommodations at the base of the two mountains.
Mountain Cabins
For those seeking the ultimate on-mountain leisure experience, Stowe Mountain Lodge will offer the luxury of a limited number of exclusive Mountain Cabins available for rent beginning in April 2008. At more than 3,000 square feet each, the multi-level Mountain Cabins at Spruce Peak have spacious living areas, professional-grade stainless steel and granite kitchens, secluded master bedroom suites, stone-framed
fireplaces, custom furnishings, private terraces with outdoor hot tubs, floor-to-ceiling windows with dramatic mountain views and ample entertaining areas for family and friends. Inspired by the history and strength of Mt. Mansfield, the Mountain Cabins have been built with native stone, large hand-crafted timbers and interior millwork, adding timeless and authentic character to their rustic, yet elegant and sophisticated design.
Perfect for entertaining and gathering, and the perfect home away from home, these spacious vacation homes provide unparalleled convenience and comforts to families, with their ski-in/ski-out location, easy access to our championship mountain golf course designed by the legendary Bob Cupp and other sumptuous amenities. Alpine Concierge®
The Alpine Concierge, a unique guest services program provided by Stowe Mountain Lodge, is designed to offer each resident of the Spruce Peak at Stowe neighborhood, as well as guests who have rented a Mountain Cabin through Stowe Mountain Lodge, an unsurpassed level of customized service and personalized attention during their stay. Anticipation of guest needs and attention to detail are the foundation for this program, allowing the Alpine Concierge team to bring the Stowe experience to service levels normally found only at the world’s most elite ski resorts. One of the most important aspects of the Alpine Concierge program is the creation of a personal guest profile which tracks the preferences and characteristics of each and every guest. These profiles will allow the Alpine Concierge staff to create an exceptional service experience for each guest during their current visit as well as future visits to the mountain. To introduce this program, the Alpine Concierge will contact each guest detailing the program and services that they will experience during their visit to Stowe. Additionally, the Alpine Concierge will be in continuous communication with guests to ensure that every detail is anticipated.
From arrival to departure, the Alpine Concierge will provide a seamless experience for each guest. Unloading and parking the vehicle, escorting the guest into the lounge and transporting the equipment to the base of the mountain will be among the basic services each guest will receive. Entering into their private lounge, guests will be greeted by the concierge, have their itinerary reviewed and be escorted to the changing area where light snacks and beverages will be provided. Once changed and ready to go, the guest will personally be escorted to their equipment at the base of the mountain. Should they have a reservation with the ski school or a scheduled mountain adventure, a member of the staff will personally escort each guest to the correct location.
Other Alpine Concierge services include:
- Pre-Booking Lift Tickets for the Mountain - Guests will have the unique opportunity to purchase their lift tickets prior to their arrival at the mountain. The tickets will be waiting for them in the Alpine Concierge lounge upon their arrival.
- Purchasing Lessons in Advance – Guests will be able to have both ski and snowboarding lessons arranged for them in advance of their arrival. The Alpine Concierge will arrange group and private lessons, for all levels of ability. Unique to this service, guests will find their instructor awaiting their
arrival at the Alpine Concierge lounge, so they will not have to wait in any lines at the ski school. - Mountain Equipment Rental – Alpine Concierge staff can arrange for rentals to be awaiting the guest’s arrival. Through partnerships with local ski and snowboard shops and distributors, guests will have access to the latest technology, including the most highly-coveted “demo” equipment that
is not yet available to the public. - Equipment Storage - Short term storage of all mountain gear and equipment will be available for guests while they are dining or touring around town.
- Cross-Country Skiing – The Alpine Concierge will gladly arrange for guests to enjoy the many cross country skiing trails that Stowe has to offer. This includes arranging for rentals and lessons.
- Snowshoeing - For those who prefer to challenge themselves with an uphill climb in the snow, snowshoeing equipment and guides will be available.
- Snowmobiling, Sleigh Riding, Dog Sledding – For some of Stowe’s other winter mountain adventures, the Alpine Concierge will arrange the ultimate dog sledding tour, snowmobile trails or horse-drawn sleigh ride to ensure a memorable experience.
- Off-Mountain Activities - There are countless activities to take part in around Stowe and Vermont which are not affiliated with the mountain. Suggestions and arrangements will be provided for shopping, VIP tours of the Cabot Cheese Factory, Ben & Jerry’s, Vermont Teddy Bears, the Cold Hollow Cider Mill, maple syrup farms, local wineries, etc.
- Dining Reservations - The Alpine Concierge will reserve in advance any dining accommodations requested by any guest. The expert staff will be well versed in the restaurant options of Stowe and surrounding towns, and will be sure to carefully select an appropriate dining destination for each
guest. - Custom Children’s Programs - From toddlers to adolescents, programming will be available to ensure a most memorable experience.
- Transportation - Members and guests can rely on the Alpine Concierge to secure transportation to and from the mountain, and around town at any point during a visit to the Stowe area.
- Valet - Five-star valet service will be provided, including unloading and parking the vehicle, assisting with luggage, cleaning snow off skis, providing boot warmers, etc.
The Alpine Concierge program begins the first week of December, in time for opening in April 2008 at Stowe Mountain Resort.
