Kids' Night Out!

Kids, it's time to get away and leave your parents to do their boring adult stuff and join us for some fun!  If you are 5 years or older, grab your outdoor gear, reserve your spot and get ready to have a blast in one of the programs listed below. 

Circus Camp & Show
December 17, 27; January 7, 15, 28; February 11, 18, 23; March 3, 17

Children will be exposed to a series of circus skills, and then be given time to complete a circuit of circus training. After children choose their favorite skill to present, we focus first on practice time and second on preparing and rehearsing our own "circus show".  The evening's activities would conclude with an imaginative presentation of  "the greatest show in Stowe!"

Tracking Where the Vermont Wild Things Are
December 23; January 14; February 4, 21; March 10

We will learn which wild things are  hoppers, bounders, walkers, or waddlers and try to remember who is who.    Advanced trackers will measure stride and straddle while our novice trackers play with making a few tracks of their own. We will head out into the wild to take a short tour in search of tracks, and then play our own wild thing tracking game.  (Bring boots, snow pants, coat, layers, hats, mittens to go outside.)

Camp-Out Adventure
December 29; January 21; February 25; March 24

After "hiking" to our "camp site" (all on Stowe Mountain Lodge grounds) campers will "set up camp" and  put together a simple tent.  Then a combination of indoor and outdoor camp games keeps children moving, learning skills, and having fun.  Depending upon the weather our bridge crossing and night walk might conclude around a campfire cookout with roasted marshmallows. (Bring boots, snow pants, coat, layers, hats, mittens to go outside.)

Cost: $70; $60 per additional sibling.  Dinner included.

Programs may be outside as weather permits, so please make sure you dress appropriately.   

Special Program: New Years Fire Works and Circus
Learn about New Years Celebrations around the world.  Head outside for a view of the live fireworks display over the mountain.  Return inside to learn circus skills and prepare for our presentation of "the greatest show in Stowe."  (See Circus Camp above.)

Hours: 6:00 - 10:00
Price:  Advance Registration Rate:$100 first child, siblings $85
Same Day Registration Rate: $110 first child, siblings $95
Additional programming beyond 10:00pm available
$20 per hour per child (3 hrs max.)  Advanced notice required.

Babysitting

Any daycare needs for children less than 6 years of age, or for evening childcare for any age, please contact the Alpine Concierge at extension 4796, they will be happy to assist you in your search. Please provide your request at least 72 hours in advance. An extra fee will be required and paid to the babysitter.
