The Mural Project - Summer Camp
When: From 07/29/2013 to 08/02/2013Share
River Arts is pleased to present The Mural Project, part of a worldwide art happening for kids ages 4-10 years, as part of its summer camp schedule.
The Mural Project runs July 29-August 2, 9:00-4:30p.m. with a half day option from 9:00-1:00p.m.
Campers will create a large public mural using digital photography, portraiture and painting in connection with the Inside Out project.
¬†The Inside Out project, originated by Ted prize winner and French street artist JR, is inspired by the artist's large‚Äźformat street “pastings.” The concept of the project is to give everyone the opportunity to share their portrait and a statement of what they stand for, with the world. IOP provides individuals and groups from all corners of the globe with a vehicle to make a statement. Anyone can participate, and is challenged to use photographic portraits to share the untold stories and images of people in their communities.
River Arts, a nonprofit organization dedicated to enriching the community through the arts, is located in Morrisville, VT. For more information, call 888-1261, or visit their website at www.riverartsvt.org.
