Johnny Rawls & The Dave Keller Band Live Concert

River Arts is pleased to present another evening of soul and blues with Mississippi Blues man Johnny Rawls and The Dave Keller Band at the River Arts Center in Morrisville Saturday, April 19th. The evening begins with soul food prepared by Susanna's Catering at 6:00 p.m. and is followed by the live concert at 7:00 p.m. Tickets $20/person (not including food by Susanna's Catering) available in advance by calling 888-1261 or online at www.riverartsvt.org.
Johnny Rawls and Dave Keller have both received numerous awards and accolades as blues musicians, playing together at River Arts for the third year in a row. Johnny Rawls, born and raised in Mississippi, has played the blues professionally with artists such as ZZ Hill, Little Johnny Taylor, Joe Tex and the Sweet Inspirations, OV Wright, and others before recording and touring as a solo artist. Rawls has played at the Chicago Blues Festival, The Russian River Blues Festival, The King Biscuit Blues Festival, The Portland Waterfront Blues Festival, and others while touring.
Dave Keller, lauded as one of the finest soul and blues men of his generation, is the 2012 winner of the Best Self-Produced CD award at the Blues Foundation’s International Blues Challenge (IBC) in Memphis, TN. He recently released a new CD, Soul Changes, which was nominated for the Blues Music Award - Best Soul Blues Album of the Year.
