We’ve got Snow-Yes we do!
While my weather-obsessed fans keep telling me that more snow coming, and remind me of the winters of New England’s past that started off slow, I remain positive with the current conditions from my past few days on the hill. Especially because the snow here at Stowe has been great!
Friends in Boston and in other parts of New England comment on my Facebook photos asking, “Where did you find snow?” having trouble believing that the shots are from this winter. All I can say to them is, “Come up for a visit and see for yourselves!”
Sure, the snow-plowers in town haven’t had to get up for too many 2 a.m. snow storms-which is unfortunate-but the ski trails keep getting coverage, and I’m happy to say that most days, when I look out the window at the Lodge, I’m seeing flurries that take me by surprise and make me smile, knowing that at least Stowe Mountain Resort is getting some love from the snow gods.
That, along with the dedicated snowmakers we have here at Stowe Mountain Resort, makes for skiing and snowboarding with just enough packed powder. Seeing the crew out there tirelessly day-in and day-out, supplementing the natural snow we are getting, helps me to appreciate the conditions even more.
So, as I’ve said to many of my own friends and family living at sea-level, while the snow guns are blasting and the flurries are flying, come up and see us this winter and get some solid turns in before it’s too late-you won’t be disappointed!
