Stowe Mountain Lodge Blog

We enjoyed our first Nor’easter last week and instead of three inches of rain, we got over three inches of snow at the lodge and almost two feet on the mountain! It was a delight to come in the next morning to see the intrepid souls who hiked up for the first runs of the season come down Nosedive.

 

Everyone at the lodge was excited to see the snow. Some visitors from Florida had snowball fights in the parking lot with their children who had never seen snow. The staff was abuzz about the coming season, discussing the prospects for winter snowfall.  Even The Weather Channel joined in the fun and covered our first Nor'easter from the plaza!

 

With luck, we will be skiing from the lifts by November 20. In the meantime, we continue tune our boards and skis and look forward to the debut of the new Stowe Performing Arts Center on December 27. Stay tuned for the opening act!
