Stowe-ga to Begin at Stowe Mountain Lodge!
If you take a look around any ski lodge on a busy Saturday morning, adults and children alike are all preparing for a day on the hill: eating a healthy breakfast, putting on layers and layers of clothing, helmets, goggles, etc. It’s a workout in itself!
Occasionally you may notice someone stretching, but not as often as you should! Stretching is always a good idea, since skiing and riding can be an extremely strenuous activity. Stretching can prepare the muscles by increasing their range of motion around a joint. It should be performed in a slow, controlled manner prior to activity to reduce your chance for injury.
Here at Stowe Mountain Lodge, we want you to ski and ride safely and with confidence which is why we are offering a new complimentary class called Stowe-ga this season! Every Saturday, Stowe Mountain Lodge will offer 20 minutes of Yoga and stretching done on the snow at the base on Spruce Peak to get you off to a good start for your ski day.
More sessions to be added, but currently Stowe-ga will be held on Saturdays at 9 a.m. starting November 24 at the base of the Alpine double chair at Spruce Peak. All are welcome!
