Stowe Mountain Lodge Blog
In a few weeks Stowe Mountain Lodge, will be Hosting FICP’s Northeast Region Summer meeting. I was fortunate to be included on the design committee for this event and have had a lot of fun working with a very creative and talented group of individuals who really wanted to play up Vermont as a meeting destination. So when it came time to determine a corporate social responsibility component to the meeting, we looked at local organizations and some iconic local symbols to tie the two together.
Through a strategic partnership with the Vermont Convention Bureau, I was able to obtain a donation of three custom made Vermont Teddy Bears that will be raffled off during the meeting. Money collected from this raffle will augment a group effort of the meeting attendees to stuff, seal, dress, and pack 100 stuffed animals that will be delivered to the Vermont Children’s Hospital on behalf of the Northeast Chapter of FICP (Financial and Insurance Conference Planners)
Our hope is that we can bring a little comfort and a few smiles to the patients and family members at the Vermont Children’s Hospital this summer.
Corporate Social Responsibility has become commonplace and I find it always more impactful when planners and hospitality partners collaborate to leverage relationships for a broader reach and more successful giving campaign. Please join us at the Lodge during the upcoming FICP meeting August 12-14, 2012!
