Oh, Christmas Tree. Oh, Christmas Tree!
What’s 16 feet tall and red all over? The Stowe Mountain Lodge Poinsettia Christmas Tree, of course!
Right in the center of the lobby, is an immense holiday tradition made from locally grown red poinsettias and is enjoyed by guests and staff alike. André Blais, keeper of the tree, constructed the tree from 375 plants purchased from the local Stowe and Waterbury schools for their annual fundraisers. Overnight one mid-December evening, André and 12 elves carefully put the tree up one plant at a time…in nine hours! Come enjoy the holiday tradition before it vanishes for another year the night of January 4th!
Happy Holidays!
