Stowe Mountain Lodge Blog
Looking for a fun and healthy activity while the family is out skiing? Try one of our new fitness classes at Stowe Mountain Lodge for this season. We will continue to offer our traditional classes, which include Indoor Cycling, Yoga, Morning Stretch and Strengthen the Core, but we also have several fun and innovative classes that are new to our daily line up!
Check out our Advanced Yoga, Yogalates, willpower & grace, Barre/Pilates Fusion and Tabata Training to start, as well as our signature Stowega classes, which are outdoor yoga classes on-snow, with some including snowshoeing.
I think you will find our Yoga instructors to be very professional and knowledgeable. Each has been trained in their discipline for at least 200 hours. I don’t know about you, but I can’t remember the last time I had a spare 200 hours! Now more about the classes:
If you are looking to burn off some extra calories, willPower & grace or Tabata Training will get your heart pumping. If you’ve taken yoga for years, you may want to try Advanced Yoga on Sunday mornings where more strenuous poses are suggested but certainly not mandatory.
Or if you like the core strengthening of our “Strengthen the Core” class, you will love the Barre/Pilates Fusion class where I use the ballet bar as a tool during exercises that engage the core while working those problem areas around the hips, buttocks and thighs. The Barre/Pilates Fusion class offers some stretching of course, but if flexibility is your goal then Yogalates will be your best choice. As always, private classes are available.
Not staying at Stowe Mountain Lodge? Day passes are available through the spa, which includes full access to the Sanctuary, Healing Lodge with a steam room, sauna, cool rain shower, complimentary tea, a world class pool, 2 Jacuzzis and a state-of-the-art fitness center, as well as all the exercises classes offered that day.
Call the spa for more information at 802-760-4782. On behalf of all our instructors, we look forward to seeing you this season. Enjoy!
