Outdoor Mindfulness and Meditation in Stowe
From snowshoe tours, to skiing and snowboarding, to experiencing our world class pool, there are endless activities to keep you busy here at Stowe Mountain Lodge. But, we all need a moment to relax, and what better way than by taking our new meditation class in Stowe.
Meditation is a universal practice that is not exclusive to a particular age, body type or level of experience. It is a means of quieting the mind to attain a deeper sense of concentration. Although I began practicing meditation to compliment my yoga practice, it has become an essential part of my healthy lifestyle. Whether you meditate in your daily life, or are new to the practice, you will enjoy this session of self-awareness and relaxation.
Our Mindful Meditation class at Stowe Mountain Lodge is structured to include a portion on breath- awareness, chakra-awareness and self-guided meditation. In my experience, I find that beginning with a breath-awareness brings immediate clarity to the mind. Likewise, opening the chakras through a chakra-awareness increases my flow of energy and draws my attention inward. You’re sure to experience these results as well.
Not familiar with the chakras? Not a problem! You will receive a foundation of knowledge that is sure to peak your interest and provide understanding. After clearing the mind and waking the body, you will transition into a 20-30 minute meditative state.
Mindful Meditation is offered weekly throughout the winter season. Check our group fitness schedule for specific dates and times. You may also want to pair your meditation with a yoga session. Our experienced yoga instructors offer classes for all levels of ability including beginner, intermediate and advanced.
