Stowe Mountain Lodge Blog
Recently, our Food and Beverage team here at Stowe Mountain Lodge hosted a truly special night for Vermont beer lovers. As I mentioned in my last blog, the main purpose behind wanting to do a beer dinner in Solstice was to be able to reach out to a local artisan, highlight their skill and hard work, and showcase it alongside our culinary teams skill and innovation.
My main motivation behind the layout of this dinner was to break the mold of the antiquated lecture style dinner, and create an intimate and relaxing environment for people to get out and enjoy the natural communion that has always gone hand and hand with beer for the last 6,000 years.
The whole team felt that this was the perfect opportunity to reach out to our local beer amateurs and enthusiasts to be able to experience the laborious fruits from their neighborhood, and to enjoy a night out learning and appreciating all that we collectively have to offer as beer and food conneisseurs.
Not only did we have a fantstic turnout for the event, but it was so satisfying for our team to see the happy faces buzzing around Solstice and Hourglass after sampling some truly fantastic pairings. I think everyone left feeling full and happy, but also with a new appreciation for the labor of love that craft beer entails. I know I speak for my entire team when I say that we are proud at Stowe Mountain Lodge to work with, serve and create food pairings with some of the finest beers in the state of Vermont, but also the world.
