A Vermont Valentine – A Few of My Favorite Things
Need ideas for unique gifts this year? Here are some ideas of how you can send a piece of Vermont to your loved one this year!
Valentine’s Day is around the corner and if you are anything like me, each year you try to think of a Valentine’s day gift more unique, creative or outside the box than last year. If you are celebrating the day with us with a Vermont getaway to Stowe Mountain Lodge or want to send a bit of Vermont to your special someone to enjoy at hom, here are a few of my not-so-cliché favorite Vermont things:
1) Grace Potter and the Nocturnals – our home girl, raised less than an hour from here is making waves with her song “Paris” and has been seen recently on VH1’s “Salute the Troops.” Her sassy songs might make you say “Oooh, la, la…”
2) What’s better than chocolate and cheese? Chocolate and cheese together!! Vermont Brownie Company took advantage of that delectable flavor combination and created the Dark Chocolate Chevre brownie. It’s like two valentine’s in one yummy brownie.
3) For a Valentine who just loves to curl up with a good book, give a page turner by Vermont author, Chris Bohjalian. Always relevant, topical, and intriguing. A personal favorite of mine.
4) With that good book, you’ll need a great cup of coffee or tea. Check out the gorgeous pottery mugs from Shackleton Thomas that fit perfectly in your hand and fill them with something from Vermont Artisan Coffee & Tea.
